How the Serviq app handles your data.
Short version: the App works offline and does not require an account. Your clients, services, documents and payment records stay on your device. There is no developer server, no advertising, and no tracking. iCloud sync is optional and runs entirely through your own Apple account.
The App is published by Igor Ferreira de Souza (“we”, “us”, the “developer”), an independent developer based in Brazil. You can reach us at igor.ferreira.souza@gmail.com.
We are the party responsible for this policy and for the limited processing it describes. We do not operate a backend service for the App: we have no application servers, no user database, and no login system.
You use the App to create business records. That content typically includes:
| Data | Where it is stored | Who can access it |
|---|---|---|
| All content listed above | On your device, in the app’s private storage managed by iOS. | You. And, if you enable iCloud backup, your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. |
| Generated PDFs | Created on demand in a temporary folder and removed automatically. A copy exists only where you save or send it. | You, plus anyone you send the file to. |
| Manual exports (JSON / CSV) | Wherever you choose to save or send them via the iOS share sheet. | You, plus anyone you send the file to. |
| Purchase status (Pro) | Your device and your Apple Account, via Apple’s StoreKit. | You and Apple. We receive only what Apple exposes (see §6). |
We do not receive copies of your business profile, clients, services, documents, payment records, or exports. They do not pass through any system we control.
iCloud backup is off by default and is part of the paid plan. When you turn it on in the App’s settings:
The App asks for a permission only at the moment you use the feature that needs it. You can decline, and you can change your choice later in iOS Settings.
If you choose “Add from Contacts” when creating a client, iOS shows you the system contact picker. Only the contact (or contacts) you select are read, and only their name and — when present — phone, email, and postal address are copied into a new client record on your device. The App does not read your address book in the background and does not upload contacts anywhere.
If you create a payment reminder, the App schedules a local notification on your device. There is no push server and no notification data leaves your device.
If you add a business logo (a Pro feature), iOS shows the photo picker; the single image you pick is downscaled and stored locally with your business profile. The App does not browse or index your photo library.
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. We never see your payment card, billing address, or Apple Account credentials.
From Apple we receive only the information needed to unlock and maintain your plan — for example, whether you have an active subscription or a lifetime purchase, and the associated transaction identifiers and renewal or expiration dates. This is handled on your device and is used solely to enable Pro features. Apple’s processing of your purchase is governed by the Apple Media Services Terms and the Apple Privacy Policy.
When you send a PDF or an export from the App, you do so through the standard iOS share sheet, choosing the destination yourself — for example a messaging app, an email client, AirDrop, or Files. Once a file leaves the App by your action, it is handled by the app or service you selected and by its recipient, under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not a party to that transfer and keep no record of it.
If you contact us by email, we receive your message and email address and use them only to respond to and document your request.
The App is a tool for running your business. When you enter information about your own customers, you decide what to collect and why, and in many jurisdictions you act as the controller of that information. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to store your clients’ details and for honouring their rights. We only provide software that keeps those records on your device (and, if you choose, in your iCloud).
Your data is protected by the security of your device: the App relies on iOS file-protection and the app sandbox, and temporary export files are cleaned up after use. Because your content is not transmitted to us, there is no developer-side database that could be breached. Keeping your device locked with a passcode or biometrics, and keeping iOS up to date, are the most important safeguards. If you enable iCloud, its security is provided by Apple.
Because we hold almost no personal data about you, most data-subject requests are things you can carry out yourself, directly in the App: view, edit, and delete any record, and export all of your data as JSON or CSV.
Depending on where you live — for example under the EU/UK GDPR, the LGPD in Brazil, or the CCPA/CPRA in California — you may also have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data a company holds about you, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any right with respect to data we hold (essentially: correspondence you have sent us), contact us at igor.ferreira.souza@gmail.com. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
To the limited extent we process any personal data, our legal bases are: performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in providing and supporting the App and in responding to your enquiries. We do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
This policy is governed, where a governing law is required, by the laws of Brazil, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection and data-protection rules of your country of residence.
The App is a business tool intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the age of digital consent in your country. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the App evolves or the law changes. When we do, we will increase the version number shown above and, for material changes, note it in the App or on this page. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
